About
Her Art studies cover Artistic Woodwork at the "Art and Design School" of Pamplona, Navarre, in which she continued doing the module of Applied Arts of Sculpture.
Then, She obtained the "Leonardo da Vinci" grant, giving her the opportunity to work abroad on an extensive work placement in "Castle Fine Arts" Bronze Foundry, located in Wales, UK, where she will eventually work for a year, getting a full acknowledge and skills of the whole Bronze casting process.
On her return she spent time training Ceramics Sculpture and
how to build Ceramic Kilns at "Escola de Cerámica de la Bisbal" in Girona, Catalonia.
In the last few years, her interest in organic and non-toxic materials, has leant her work towards natural building materials, taking a Cob Building course in Devon, South England, bringing fresher ways of working sculpture.
Her work is mainly based in the human figure, working with different techniques and materials such clay, plaster, wood, stone and bronze, being modelling one of his favourites.
She also gets inspiration from old poems written by her grandfather, giving essence to her writing work called "SandrAtanes".
In her organic work, she connects the respect for nature to the addition of natural elements and the use of fibre such straw or sand.
As a result, a Land Art organic style, with an ephemeral or eternal sensation, joins to the female forms, figures and expressions.
